About Us
Poverty Eradication & Sustainable Action for Inclusive Development (PESAID) was born out of grassroots charity outreaches in Kilifi County in 2023. Officially registered in April 2024, we now impact thousands through community-driven interventions in education, advocacy, health, livelihoods, and climate action.
PESAID is a Kenyan-based humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization that helps individuals living in extreme poverty by providing them with sustainable means to improve their livelihood. We set up teams and channels to help improve the living standards of the most vulnerable individuals in various regions across Kenya.
What PESAID Means

Where We Work
PESAID is currently based in Mombasa county with a projection of activities in all parts of the country. The organization anticipates gradual growth that will see it eventually cover all the 47 counties in Kenya. We believe in the power of collaborations and strategic partnerships in yielding sustainable outcomes even as we work within the existing systems in the community.
Vision
Improved livelihoods for communities living in abject poverty through enhanced grassroots economic empowerment.
Mission
To empower individuals living in extreme poverty through sustainable, community-driven projects that address poverty, injustice, and exclusion.
What We Do
At PESAID, we believe that true development begins with compassion — standing with those most often forgotten and restoring dignity where it has been denied. Our work is about humanity, solidarity, and hope.
Our Key Interventions
Disability Inclusion & Accessibility
We walk hand-in-hand with persons with disabilities, breaking down the walls of stigma and exclusion. From access to healthcare, education, and livelihoods, to providing assistive devices and safe spaces, we ensure that every person is seen, heard, and valued not for their limitations, but for their humanity and endless potential.
Elderly Care & Protection
Too often, older persons are left behind neglected, abandoned, or forced to live without the dignity they deserve. At PESAID, we restore hope by providing shelter, meals, companionship, and community care. We believe our elders are the custodians of wisdom, and it is our moral duty to honor, protect, and embrace them with love and respect.
Climate Action & Sustainability
The climate crisis strikes hardest at the poor, uprooting livelihoods and exposing communities to hunger and displacement. We empower families with climate-smart farming, tree growing, and green skills so that even in the face of a changing world, hope can still take root.
Sexual & Reproductive Health Education
We give young people knowledge, confidence, and safe choices for healthier, brighter lives.
Menstrual Hygiene Care
Every girl deserves dignity we provide menstrual products, education, and safe spaces so no girl has to miss school or suffer in silence.
Gender Equality & Empowerment
We fight against inequality and violence, giving women and girls the voice and power they need to thrive as equals.
Adolescents & Youth Enlightenment
With mentorship, skills, and opportunities, we turn young people’s energy into leadership, creativity, and lasting change.
Food & Nutrition Support
No one should go to bed hungry. We bring food, nutrition, and compassion to the most vulnerable families.

Our History
From humble beginnings in 2023 through small community charity outreaches, PESAID grew into a structured NGO by 2024. Founded as a charity-oriented organization, the founders of PESAID would visit vulnerable families in various communities with little donations alongside psycho-social support. Since then, we have expanded to serve thousands of vulnerable individuals across Kenya, with a focus on disability rights, elderly care, gender equality, and climate justice.
